Games for Group is a party-game site, not a data business. Hosts sign in with Google so a room has one owner; friends join with just a display name. Rooms and everything played in them are deleted automatically within about a day. We run no ads, no third-party trackers, and we never sell data.
A few things live only in your browser's local storage and never reach our servers unless a game rule needs to verify them: a random session identifier that lets you rejoin a room after a refresh, your sound preference, the display name you used in a room, and private in-game scratch marks (for example, the numbers you daub on a Tambola ticket — those are only sent when you claim a prize, so we can check it).
The service runs on infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf: Convex (realtime backend and database), Netlify (website hosting), and Google (sign-in for hosts only). Each receives only what it needs to run the service.
Game data is short-lived by design: a scheduled job permanently deletes rooms, players, and game history within about 24 hours of a room ending or going inactive. Host accounts persist so you can host again; if you want your account removed, reach us through the contact page and we will delete it.
If you write to us through the contact page, we store what you send — your message, and a name and email only if you choose to include them — for as long as it takes to handle the inquiry.
The games are family-friendly, but the service is not directed at children under 13, and hosting requires a Google account. Guests joining a room provide no personal information beyond a display name.
